Bambu X1-Carbon 3D Printer CHECKOUT CLASS
Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes
Class Size: 3 people
Price: $70
Ages: 16+ (If younger, guardian must attend and purchase a class seat)
This class will introduce you to the Bambu X1-Carbon 3D Printer. This machine is great for making 3D models of prototypes and fun and useful objects found on websites like www.printables.com and Bambu Studio.
The Bambu X1-Carbon is a 3D printer that creates objects using extruded plastic with the fused filament method. Plastic filament, 1.75mm in diameter, is pushed into a heated chamber and extruded out through a thin nozzle (aka the hotend) as it moves across the build platform. At the same time, a platform moves underneath as the extruded filament builds up layer by layer to create 3D forms. You can think of it as a “computerized hot-glue gun for plastic” with excellent fine detail capabilities.
You will learn basic tool operation with an emphasis on safety and how to use the associated software, Bambu Studio. With the successful completion of this class you will be certified to use the Bambu X1-Carbon 3D Printer on your own.
People under age 16 may take this tool checkout class with their parent/guardian (both adult and minor must register and pay.) A parent/guardian who has taken the checkout class must also accompany them when operating the tool. Ages 16 and up are encouraged to take checkout classes in any area they wish, with parent/guardian approval.
