This class will introduce you to the powder coating process, including mediablasting. Learn how to prepare metal objects, including using the mediablaster. Then apply powder-coating powder with the KCI K1 gun in our filtered application booth. Finally, cure the powder in our powder coating oven.
You will learn basic operation with an emphasis on safety. With the successful completion of this class you will be certified to use the mediablaster, powder application gun, and powder coating oven on your own.
People ages 13-15 may take this tool checkout class with their parent/guardian (both adult and minor must register and pay). A parent/guardian who has taken the checkout class must also accompany them when operating the tool. Ages 16 and up are encouraged to take checkout classes in any area they wish, with parent/guardian approval.
