This class will introduce you to mediablasting with our Grizzly G0707 media blaster.
Two important notes:
1. Don’t take this class “in preparation” for the powder coating class! That class will cover the usage of this machine (and you will be checked out on it) in addition to the powder coating booth and oven. So if you are planning to do powder coating, don’t take this class.
2. This media blaster is not for removing rust or paint. Because we use it primarily in support of powder coating, objects to be blasted can not have oil, grease, and other contaminants that would interfere with cleaning objects for powder coating.
In this class, you will learn basic operation of our media blaster with an emphasis on safety. With the successful completion of this class you will be certified to use the mediablaster on your own.
People ages 13-15 may take this tool checkout class with their parent/guardian (both adult and minor must register and pay). A parent/guardian who has taken the checkout class must also accompany them when operating the tool. Ages 16 and up are encouraged to take checkout classes in any area they wish, with parent/guardian approval.
