This class will introduce you to MIG and TIG welding. You will learn the basic operations with an emphasis on safety. Maker Works has welding jackets and face shields for you to borrow. If you have a welding jacket, please bring it. With successful completion of this class, you will be authorized to use our TIG and MIG welders, as well as our Miller LMSW-52T spot welder.
Please note: People often use the tools included in our Abrasives Checkout Class to finish their welding projects, and we usually offer this class just before or after welding class to make it convenient to take both.
People ages 13-15 may take this tool checkout class with their parent/guardian (both adult and minor must register and pay). A parent/guardian who has taken the checkout class must also accompany them when operating the tool. Ages 16 and up are encouraged to take checkout classes in any area they wish, with parent/guardian approval.
