For your safety, full-coverage clothing made of natural fibers like cotton and leather shoes are encouraged for classes in the Metal Shop. Closed-toe shoes are required at all times. Thanks!

This class will introduce you to MIG and TIG welding. You will learn the basic operations with an emphasis on safety. Maker Works has welding jackets and face shields for you to borrow (though if you have your own welding jacket, you’re welcome to bring it). With successful completion of this class, you will be authorized to use our TIG and MIG welders, as well as our Miller LMSW-52T spot welder.

People ages 13-15 may take this class with their parent/guardian (both adult and minor must register and pay).  A parent/guardian who has taken the class must also accompany them when operating the tool. Ages 16 and up are encouraged to take classes in any area they wish, with parent/guardian approval.
