This class will introduce you to the Studio/Knitmaster 323 Knitting Machine. This machine is capable of creating stockinette fabric, as well as some fancier stitches through the use of punch cards. While it is a knitting “machine,” there is a lot of hand manipulation that takes place. You will learn the basic operation with an emphasis on recognizing stitches, troubleshooting, and safety of this rather delicate machine. With the successful completion of this class you will be certified to use the Studio/Knitmaster 323 Knitting Machine on your own.
If you normally wear vision correction tools or readers for close work, be sure to bring them to class.
People under age 16 may take this tool checkout class with their parent/guardian (both adult and minor must register and pay.) A parent/guardian who has taken the checkout class must also accompany them when operating the tool. Ages 16 and up are encouraged to take checkout classes in any area they wish, with parent/guardian approval.
