Description:

The Powermatic 209 planer is powered by a 5 HP, 230-volt motor that spins a four-knife 3-3/16″ cutterhead at 5,000 RPM (20,000 cuts per minute). It handles boards up to 20″ wide and 8″ thick, takes 3/32″ full-width passes, and offers four gearbox-selectable feed rates—16, 20, 24, and 31 FPM—on a precision-ground 25 ¾″ × 20″ cast-iron table that extends to 55 ½″ with the wings.
