If you’ve ever wanted to make a small something out of metal but torches and precision soldering sounds like a lot, you can start simpler! “Art Clay Metal” lets you sculpt real metal like clay, then kiln-fire it into a solid metal piece.

You receive 20 grams of metal clay to shape into anything you want! Some ideas include: a necklace pendant, earrings, a keychain/bookmark/fingerprint charm, a hand-sculpted ring, etc.

Agenda:

1. Intro (30 minutes): Learn how to use sculpting tools (and your hands!) to work with the clay.

2. Build (90 minutes): Build your design! A tiny class size means you get lots of individual help.

3. Finish (30 minutes): Fire, buff, and polish your piece.

Nature-themed stamps are provided for decorating, but you can use anything you find for cool texturing! You can also bring gemstones like garnet, ruby, sapphire, and anything specifically labeled “kiln-safe” or “fire-in-place”.
