This 2-hour class will introduce you to three wood cutting saws: the miter saw, the SawStop table saw, and the panel saw. Each saw has different capabilities and methods. Attendees will complete various cuts on each. You will learn basic operation with an emphasis on safety and how to avoid ‘kick-back’. With the successful completion of this class you will be authorized to use Maker Works' SawStop table saw, miter saw and panel saw with a Maker Works membership.
People ages 13-15 may take this tool checkout class with their parent/guardian (both adult and minor must register and pay). A parent/guardian who has taken the checkout class must also accompany them when operating the tool. Ages 16 and up are encouraged to take checkout classes in any area they wish, with parent/guardian approval.
