The Great Maker Race Pit Crew!

Help 500+ kids learn to use hammers, hot wire cutters, and more as they design, build, and race a car down the 40’ Great Maker Race! We’ll provide all the training, and you’ll receive shop credit for helping out. If you have any questions, let us know via email.

Helping prepare, set up, or run The Great Maker Race is fun, easy, and we provide all the training. Prep options below may require three saw training ahead of time.

In typical Maker Works’ style we will have plenty of SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) to help. Adults are welcome to help with the prep materials. High School Students, and even Middle Schoolers (with adult accompaniment) are all welcome to help set up or run the event.

Material Prep happens on Thursday, April 30th.

Event Setup occurs on Friday, May 8th from 5:00 pm - 7 :30 PM

Assist at the event on Saturday, May 9th from 7:30 AM - 7:30 PM. Multiple time slots available!
